How To Find Downloaded Files On Android

It can be frustrating not being able to Find Downloaded Files On Android. This can also happen on Android devices because they have a file system like any other operating system.

Every Android device has some kind of file management program (File Manager) pre-installed. This program is called Files on Google Pixel phones. Samsung Galaxy phones call it My Files.

You can also install a different file manager from the Google Play Store. One we like is the Files by Google app. Beyond the ability to view downloads, this program has useful tools for freeing up phone storage space.

The downloaded files are saved in the Download folder on your device with the appropriate name. To start finding the downloaded file, open the file manager app on your Android phone or tablet. In this example, we are using the Google Pixel's Files app. The next step is to find the Downloads folder. To open the side menu, tap the hamburger menu icon or the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner.

Select the Download option from the list.

All downloaded files can be found in this folder.

If you use the Files by Google app, the process is even easier. First, open the app on your Android device. Make sure you are in the Browse tab.

Tap on the Downloads option and then you will see all your downloaded documents and files.

In the vast majority of cases, anything you download from a web browser like Google Chrome is stored in the Downloads folder on your Android phone or tablet. As a result, you can refer to this folder to find the downloaded file on your Android phone.
