Battlefield V Best Medic Guns

The Medic class is all about being able to rush areas and hold your own in close-range engagements. Your main goal is going to be to get to downed teammates, so you’ll need a high rate of fire to suppress any opposition. Battlefield V Best Medic Guns are as follows:(Ranked Medic Weapons in BF5 from Worst to Best)

MP34
MP34

MP34 - The MP34 is better suited than most in its weapon category for longer distance firefights, and is distinct amongst SMGs for benefiting greatly from stationary, aimed fire. Its lowest rate of fire in its class at 514 RPM and low per-shot recoil both assist in consistently hitting targets at medium range, as does its damage model that is initially identical to the generic SMG damage curve but with slightly lower damage drop-off past 50m resulting in marginally higher minimum damage. However, in spite of having the highest unmodified muzzle velocity in class at 495 m/s, this is still quite low relative to other medium-range weapon classes, potentially complicating engagements at distance. These characteristics also mean the weapon is generally worse at close range than other SMGs because of its longer time-to-kill. Also unimpressive is the 20 round magazine when stock.

MP34 Details

  • Unlocked at: Medic Rank 16
  • Fire modes: Automatic | Semi-Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 514 RPM | 599 RPM (Light Bolt)
  • Max Damage: 25.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 495 m/s - 560 m/s (High Velocity Bullets)
  • Partial Reload: 2.40 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 3.35 seconds
  • Magazine: 20 Rounds | 32 Rounds (Extended Magazine)

EMP
EMP

EMP - The EMP occupies the statistical middle ground between the low-recoil, moderate fire rate STEN and MP40 and the less controllable, higher rate SMGs starting with the MP28. In this regard, the EMPs fire rate of 568 RPM and mediocre vertical and horizontal recoil shifts its optimum engagement range closer than the STEN, with a subsequent reduction in long-range accuracy. Its damage profile, muzzle velocity, and magazine capacity of 30 rounds are all within average boundaries for its weapon class. Its only major drawback is a slow empty magazine reload.

EMP Details

  • Unlocked at: Medic Rank 13
  • Fire modes: Automatic | Semi-Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 568 RPM
  • Max Damage: 25.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 420 m/s
  • Partial Reload: 2.26 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 3.66 seconds
  • Magazine: 32 Rounds

MP28
MP28

MP28 - The weapon can be considered an alternative to the high rate of fire submachine guns of the Suomi KP/-31 and M1928A1, considering its moderate to high rate of 670 RPM. It improves upon these weapons with a larger standard magazine of 30 rounds, which is only slightly below the categorical standard of 32 rounds, in addition to possessing low vertical recoil. However, the presence of stronger than average horizontal recoil makes the weapon somewhat unpredictable in automatic fire, while muzzle velocity is second lowest amongst the SMGs at 345 m/s, which cannot be modified via specializations. These factors befit a more close-quarters playstyle where its high damage potential can outpace slower-firing, more controllable SMGs.

MP28 Details

  • Unlocked at: Medic Rank 10
  • Fire modes: Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 670 RPM
  • Max Damage: 25.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 345 m/s
  • Partial Reload: 2.40 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 3.40 seconds
  • Magazine: 30 Rounds | 50 Rounds (Extended Magazine)

MP40
MP40

MP40 - In Multiplayer, the MP40 is issued to the Medic class, unlocked at Medic rank 6. The weapon shares many attributes with the kit's starting weapon, the STEN, including fire rate, magazine capacity, reserve supply, and specialization tree. It also possesses similarly light recoil including lower horizontal recoil, at the cost of a lower muzzle velocity of 455 m/s. The key strength of the MP40 is its greater base accuracy, coupled with a best-in-class partial reload of 1.96s. This allows the MP40 to rapidly reengage after depleting the magazine but is offset by a much less impressive 3.33s empty magazine reload. Despite its limited application in very close quarters due to its low rate of fire, the MP40 has considerable reach because of its light recoil, especially when tap-fired, in addition to increased sustainability in gunfights produced by a very short downtime between reloads, with the caveat that magazines must not completely be expended.

MP40 Details

  • Unlocked at: Medic Rank 6
  • Fire modes: Fully Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 540 RPM
  • Max Damage: 25.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 455 m/s
  • Partial Reload: 1.96 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 3.33 seconds
  • Magazine: 32 Rounds

STEN
STEN

STEN - The STEN is the starter weapon for the Medic kit, as well as the default weapon for the Pilot and Tanker kits.

The weapon can be considered a counterpart to the statistically similar MP40 - both weapons share rate of fire, magazine, and reserve ammo capacity, and specializations unlock paths. However, the STEN differentiates itself by having a slightly better performance at range due to greater muzzle velocity as well as slightly worse horizontal recoil. As with all submachine guns, the accuracy penalty for firing while moving or from the hip is much less than other types of weapons, making the weapon suitable for a more mobile playstyle. Although bested in most statistical categories by later unlocks and with a relatively low time-to-kill due to 540 RPM rate, the forgiving recoil and magazine capacity allows users to reliably hit targets in full auto with minimal mitigation, allowing the user to become familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of the SMG class.

STEN Details

  • Unlocked at: Default
  • Fire modes: Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 540 RPM
  • Max Damage: 25.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 495 m/s
  • Partial Reload: 2.20 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 3.07 seconds
  • Magazine: 32 Rounds

M1928A1
M1928A1

M1928A1 - It is unlocked for the Medic kit at class rank 20. Unlike in previous games, the damage profile of the M1928A1's .45 ACP round is practically identical to the other 9x19mm SMGs - starting at 25 damage and dropping off at the same rate to 12 damage.

The weapon is closest in performance to the Suomi KP/-31, with slightly better accuracy and control that comes from a marginally lower default rate of fire of 720 RPM - the second-highest in its class. This results in a very short time-to-kill at short range, although this comes at the cost of high per-shot recoil, very low muzzle velocity, and tied lowest magazine capacity in the category of 20 rounds. Paired with its high fire rate, standard magazines can be exhausted very quickly in fully automatic fire - while reload time is fortunately short, this potentially limits the number of enemies that can be engaged in sequence. The weapon has decent hip-fire accuracy inherent to the SMG class which can be further boosted through specializations and allows the weapon to retain effectiveness even while on the move.

M1928A1 Details

  • Unlocked at: Medic Rank 20
  • Fire modes: Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 720 RPM | 900 RPM (Light Bolt)
  • Max Damage: 25.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 330 m/s
  • Partial Reload: 2.00 seconds | 2.35 seconds (Extended Magazine)
  • Empty Reload: 2.95 seconds | 3.25 seconds (Extended Magazine)
  • Magazine: 20 Rounds | 50 Rounds (Extended magazine)

ZK-383
ZK-383

ZK-383 - The ZK-383 is one of two SMGs, along with the Type 100, to have access to a bipod. This gives provides the weapon with a great deal of stability when it is deployed, aided by its already low recoil and rate of fire, which are both tied as lowest in class with the Type 100 and MP34, respectively. This grants the ZK-383 significantly better performance at range compared to other SMGs, although its damage profile and muzzle velocity are standard values for the category. While controllability is excellent, the low damage per second can potentially leave the user vulnerable at closer ranges.

ZK-383 Details

  • Unlock cost: 1700 Company Coins
  • Fire modes: Fully Automatic | Semi-Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 514 RPM | 720 RPM (Light Bolt)
  • Max Damage: 25.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 495 m/s - 560 m/s (High Velocity Bullets)
  • Partial Reload: 2.10 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 2.96 seconds
  • Magazine: 30 Rounds | 40 Rounds (Extended Magazine)

SUOMI KP/-31
SUOMI KP/-31

SUOMI KP/-31 - The Suomi is the first unlock for the Medic at class rank 1. It has the highest fire rate of submachine guns, outperforming the similar M1928, of which it shares an identical upgrade tree, for greatest damage output and thus the quickest time-to-kill in its category. However, the ability to make hits when firing in fully automatic is limited by severe recoil. In addition to its highest in-class per-shot recoil, the Suomi KP/-31 possesses similarly unprecedented horizontal recoil that can make recoil patterns difficult to anticipate and adjust correspondingly. Furthermore, the default magazine size is a paltry 20 rounds which can be depleted in just over a second of uninterrupted fire. While undoubtedly effective when in close-quarters engagements against a single target, the Suomi may struggle to maintain its dominance past this distance, especially when faced by multiple opponents.

SUOMI KP/-31 Details

  • Unlocked at: Medic Rank 1
  • Fire modes: Automatic | Semi-Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 770 RPM | 981 RPM (Light Bolt)
  • Max Damage: 25.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 330 m/s
  • Partial Reload: 2.50 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 3.75 seconds
  • Magazine: 20 Rounds | 50 Rounds (Extended Magazine)

TYPE 100
TYPE 100

TYPE 100 - The Type 100 can be considered lower damage but a more controllable alternative within the high ROF subcategory of submachine guns, comprised of the Suomi KP/-31, MP28, and M1928A1. Possessing a partially unique damage model that features lower base damage, the weapon is a minimum five-shot kill out to only 10m, after which point it suffers relatively severe damage drop-off, typically taking an extra bullet or two to kill at all ranges except maximum when compared with four-shot minimum SMGs. However, to balance this Type 100 has a high fire rate of 720 RPM, combined with the lowest recoil amongst the submachine guns, tied with the default ZK-383. This allows the weapon to keep pace with most others at close range, while also helping accuracy at medium range with minimal compensation. Recoil can be further reduced by using the bipod, although mediocre muzzle velocity can interfere with hit probability and long-range. Magazine capacity and reload speed are both standards.

TYPE 100 Details

  • Fire modes: Fully Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 720 RPM
  • Max Damage: 20.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 420 m/s
  • Partial Reload: 2.40 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 3.25 seconds
  • Magazine: 30 Rounds

TYPE 2A
TYPE 2A

TYPE 2A - The primary strength of the Type 2A is its very short Time-to-Kill, shortest out of any of the submachine guns as a direct result of its high rate of fire, which even exceeds the default MG 42. This is in spite of a mediocre five-shot kill at minimum range and high damage drop-off past 10m, characteristics inherited from the use of Type 100's damage model. Its rapid consumption of ammunition is counteracted by very quick reloads, although its effectiveness at medium range is further hampered by low muzzle velocity and very high recoil. Regardless, the Type 2A overshadows much of the competition at close range thanks to its power and responsiveness.

TYPE 2A Details

  • Unlock cost: 1700 Company Coins
  • Fire modes: Fully Automatic
  • Rate of Fire: 1028 RPM | 1200 RPM (Light Bolt)
  • Max Damage: 20.1
  • Bullet-Velocity: 315 m/s
  • Partial Reload: 1.93 seconds
  • Empty Reload: 2.80 seconds
  • Magazine: 30+1 Rounds | 50+1 Rounds (Extended Magazine)
