How To Remove Baby Food Stains, Blood Stains & Burns

Baby Food Stains:

Hydrogen Peroxide

Keep the stain from setting. Use the Hydrogen Peroxide mixed 50/50 with water, then sprayed onto the stain and let set for at least 30 minutes, this will usually get most stains out. Rinse with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water, and then launder as usual. Do not dry until stain is completely gone.

Foaming Shaving Cream

Spray enough shaving cream directly onto the stain to completely cover it. Gently blot into the stain. You do not need to fully dissolve the cream; it can sit on top of the stain as well. Allow to set for 30-40 mins. Launder as usual.

Blood Stains:

Ammonia

Turn fabric inside out and flush with cold water to remove as much blood as possible. In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of ammonia to 1 cup of water. Pour the solution directly onto the stain and allow to set for 5-10 minutes. Rinse well with cold water and launder as usual.

Salt water

In a small bowl, mix cold water with a few teaspoons of salt. Pour the solution directly onto the stain and allow setting for 5 minutes. Launder in cold water. Repeat if necessary.

Burns:

Sandpaper

Use a medium course piece of sandpaper gently sand away the rough scorched edges. Vacuum the area to remove any loose fibers. Using a small pair of scissors you can then cut away any leftover burned carpet. Wash the area with warm water and liquid dish soap until area is clean and burn free.
