Can drooping eyelids be fixed

A drooping eyelid is often associated with aging, as our skin sags over time. Upper eyelids are prone to becoming thin and losing elasticity. This can cause the eyelids to look droopy, even sleepy.

Because it is challenging to detect the severity of a drooping eyelid, doctors examine several factors, such as the height of the eyelid. In addition, they examine the skin between the eyebrows and eyelids. An entire or heavy eyelid is a sign of a droopy eyelid.

Since the skin around the eyes is so sensitive and thin compared to other parts of the body, dark circles around the eyes related to aging skin are more likely to appear.

Fillers made from hyaluronic acids, such as Juvéderm® and Sculptra®, add extra volume to deep folds on the cheeks, and lower lid, for example.

Fillers are temporary solutions, require regular reinjections over time and can make a fluid assessment in the eyelids.

The wrong injection of fillers can cause serious complications, including blindness, but its risk is low, but not zero.

When fillers are injected into the blood vessels behind the eye, it can adversely affect sight, which will be constant.

It is better to use fillers and injections to achieve a pleasant result for fixing droopy eyelids without surgery.

Injection of products such as Botox or Dysport, including botulinum toxins, makes sagging skin tighten and smooth wrinkles around the eyes.

These products correct age-related eyelid symptoms by weakening eyelid muscles and are the best way to fix droopy eyelids without surgery.

Since Botox injection weakens the muscle and pulls eyebrows, eyebrows lift. So you can reduce the heaviness of the upper lids and lift them.

Eyelid surgery, known as Blepharoplasty, allows you to fix droopy eyelids.

Although Blepharoplasty can alleviate part of the problem and remove a small amount of excess skin on the lids, it has limitations.

Laxity and bags under the eyes cannot be corrected through this procedure.

As opposed to fat repositioning, in the fat removal process, your fat will not be added back to your body after it is removed.

If you prefer that only your excess fat gets removed to fix droopy eyelids, you can use this option under your doctor’s advice.

This method only alleviates the bags under your eyes and has nothing to do with filling the hollows. It is important to remember that fat removal can improve aging changes and increase hollows.

As explained before, droopy eyelids are a common symptom of aging. It may bother people because of facial changes or weakened eye vision.
