How To Remove Mud,Tea Stains & Wine Stains

Mud:

Vacuum

For fabrics, do not try to clean the mud when wet, no matter how bad you want too! Allow the mud to fully dry before working on the stain. Once dried use the hand held part of the vacuum cleaner (usually the hose attachment. Brush attachment if available) and vacuum the dried mud. Pretreat with liquid detergent for 15 minutes then launder as usual.

White Vinegar

Mud on carpet can be unsightly, so once dry, vacuum as much of dried mud as possible. Using a white cloth apply white vinegar to the area and begin blotting the stain, reapplying vinegar until gone.

Tea Stains:

If you are on the go:

First, rinse stain from the back with cold water. This prevents the stain from sinking deeper into the fabric. Do not use bar soap, which may cause the stain to set.

If you are at home:

Once you get home, pretreat with Clorox Bleach Pen Gel for whites or Clorox 2 product for colours. Then soak in cool water for a few minutes. Launder as usual with your favourite detergent on the hottest recommended water setting. Carefully inspect item before machine drying.

Wine Stains:

If you are on the go:

Blot with paper towel or clean cloth to remove excess wine. Pour club soda on the stain from back to front and blot again. this will help prevent the stain from permanently setting.

If you are at home:

Pretreat with Clorox Bleach Pen Gel fro whites or Clorox 2 product for colours. Then launder on the hottest recommended water setting. Don’t forget to add Clorox Regular-Bleach for whites or Clorox 2 product for colours. Repeat as necessary before machine drying. Tip: Do not rub with bar soap, which may cause the red wine stain to set.
